Responsibilities

• Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and educational activities to ensure safety and engagement
• Assist in implementing age-appropriate curriculum plans focused on childhood development and learning milestones
• Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment
• Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behaviors, and daily activities
• Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or well-being
• Provide basic first aid or pediatric first aid when necessary, ensuring the health and safety of all children
• Collaborate with lead teachers or caregivers to support special education needs or children with disabilities
• Engage in ongoing training related to child development instruction, behavior management, and caregiving best practices

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or classroom settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages
• Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is required or obtainable upon hire
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child safety protocols
• Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration
• Ability to supervise children effectively while demonstrating patience, compassion, and enthusiasm
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
• Classroom experience in daycare centers or early childhood education environments is desirable
