Aftercare Teacher

Kiddie Academy Day Care of Staten Island is looking for caring, enthusiastic, and dependable individuals to join our team!

Position: Afternoon Childcare Assistant

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children ages 3–5.
• Plan and lead fun, age-appropriate activities that encourage creativity, learning, and social development.
• Establish and maintain a structured, positive daily routine.
• Assist children with personal hygiene, diapering, and daily care as needed.
• Keep classrooms, toys, and activity areas clean, safe, and organized.
• Observe and document children's progress, interests, and developmental needs.
• Communicate professionally and positively with families and team members.
• Assist with afternoon dismissal and help ensure a smooth pickup experience for families.

What We're Looking For:

• At least 1 year of experience working with children (required).
• A warm, patient, energetic, and positive attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Someone who is dependable, responsible, and organized.
• A genuine love for working with young children.
• Someone who demonstrates our core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
