After School Enrichment Instructor

We are not the typical after-school program. This job is perfect for anyone who attends school in the mornings and enjoys having their evenings and weekends free!

We are a private, well established TK-8th grade, after-school enrichment program. Our program introduces children to great artists, a life long appreciation towards music and great composers, the discovery of science, and exposure and understanding of various cultures. Our goal is to inspire students by presenting programs that encourage creativity, investigation and discovery.

We have available positions for After School Program Enrichment Teachers in the Sherman Oaks, North Hills, and Woodland Hills areas. We are seeking individuals for the remainder of the 2026-2027 school year. The positions start November 2026 (December 2026 for Woodland Hills) and requires a commitment for the remainder of the school year, November 2026 to early June 2027.

Child Development Units are preferred, but not required. Please read this carefully before you decide to apply.

Enrichment Teacher:
With the help of a team, the Enrichment Teacher would be responsible for teaching one-hour lessons in the areas of art, music, science and physical education. Each employee is trained in our curriculum and provided with the materials to support it. A homework component is also included in our program where you would assist a group of children during our study hall. Helps support co-teacher/partner in understanding assigned classroom/group protocols, and program expectations. Applicant must have strong English and Math skills in order to assist with homework. Ensures close visual supervision of children. Complete written incident reports as necessary with assistance from the Site Supervisor. Promotes a positive relationship with parents by making a point to greet them daily and informing them of any relevant information in a timely manner. Will help with set up and clean up of each day and will offer support in other areas determined by the Site Supervisor. Be familiar with company mission, philosophy, policies and procedures.

Staff members must adhere to the start time. (The time between 5-6pm is flexible).
Times are subject to change according to the school's schedule and ratio of students.

Hours: M/W/Th/F: 2:00 PM-5:00/6:00 PM. (1:00 PM -5:00/6:00PM on Tuesdays; most schools)

**Given the current needs of the program, individuals available 5 days/week are highly preferred.

Requirements:
-A minimum of 1-year experience working with children, preferably in an after-school setting.

-Child Development units highly preferred, but not required.

-You MUST be reliable, punctual and have great communication skills (both verbal and written).

-The ability to walk, climb/stairs, stand, run, reach/stretch, bend, kneel, sit

-MUST have reliable transportation.

-MUST be able to work as a team.
-Has a happy demeanor, is creative, nurturing, exercises good judgment

-Is patient, compassionate and mindful of children's needs

-Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs (may need to move classroom furniture (tables, chairs, etc) to make space for student activities/events)

-MUST be available Monday through Friday

-Must be able to pass a Live Scan, TB test and basic physical exam. We will accept current copies of TB test and basic physical exam if they are valid and up to date.

-First Aid/CPR certified or willing to get certified

Pay Rate: $18.50/hour to $19.50/hour (DOE)

Signing Bonus: $200* (terms apply)
