Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional learning activities
• Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping children develop self-regulation skills
• Help prepare classroom materials and setup learning stations to promote hands-on exploration and discovery
• Supervise children during playtime, meals, nap times, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and engagement
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to support ongoing developmental progress and behavioral goals
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that fosters safety, comfort, and learning readiness

Skills

• Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices in preschool education
• Experience with special education strategies, including working with children with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder
• Proficiency in lesson planning and curriculum development tailored for 3-year-olds
• Excellent classroom management skills to foster a positive learning atmosphere
• Ability to work effectively with young children, demonstrating patience, empathy, and enthusiasm
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with educators, parents, and caregivers
• Familiarity with Montessori or other preschool teaching methodologies is a plus
• Prior experience in daycare or private school settings preferred
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques to support social-emotional growth
• Ability to adapt activities for toddlers’ developmental stages and individual needs
