2 Year Old Assistant Teacher

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 2 Year Old Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment tailored to the developmental needs of toddlers. Duties

• Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities designed for 2-year-olds, promoting social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
• Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, naps, and transitions to ensure safety and positive behavior management
• Support children with daily routines such as diapering, toileting, handwashing, and other personal care needs in accordance with health and safety standards
• Engage children through interactive play, storytelling, music, art projects, and educational games that stimulate curiosity and learning
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences to foster strong partnerships
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment that encourages independence and exploration
• Follow all mandated reporting laws and health protocols to ensure a safe environment for children at all times

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of child development principles specific to toddlers (ages 1-3)
• Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training is encouraged.
• Strong classroom management skills combined with patience and positive reinforcement techniques
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members
• Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare
• Passion for early childhood education and nurturing young learners’ growth

Pay: $13.50 - $17.00 per hour
